On a week in which Catholics lamented the outrageous lies being directed at St Brigid, the Irish St Patricks Festival decided to get in early for another kick at St Patrick too.
At this stage we are well used to St Patrick’s good name being mocked year after year with drunkenness and all manner of sin to “celebrate” his feast day. But the attack on St Brigid’s name in the form of an official festival is new. Before the blasphemous St Brigid festival had even finished, Tourism Minister Catherin Martin launched this years attack on St Patrick. TD Catherin Martin tweeted –
Our National @stpatricksfestreturns to Dublin for four days this year The theme is ONE as we welcome people from all over the world to connect & celebrate together Programme includes

At the launch, Ms Martin added: “The theme about ‘We are One’ is about inclusivity, it’s about…. I suppose no better time than St Patrick’s Day to give out that welcoming message, the Céad Míle Fáilte that we are one as a people and to celebrate diversity too.”
Unfortunately judging by the pictures of the launch and based on previous years festivals, it looks set to be another year condoning the inclusion and celebration of sin. They will of course say, they are only having fun and trying to find happiness in life,
Hopefully some day soon the organisers of St Patricks Festival will pick up and read the writings of Saint Patrick and allow him to lead them back to God where the only true peace and joy can be found.
Philippians 4:6 Be nothing solicitous; but in every thing, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God. [7] And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
